The new adaptation of the horror literary classic is also about Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Dune star Oscar Isaac), who sets out to resurrect the dead using science. In doing so, he creates a creature (Euphoria star Jacob Elordi) that many only see as a monster that must be destroyed.

Other roles include Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Lars Mikkelsen and David Bradley and Charles Dance, known from Game of Thrones.

Guillermo del Toro revealed the following about his project to Empire in 2009:

What I’m trying to do is take the myth and do something with it, but combine elements of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein without making it just a classic myth of the monster. In my opinion, the best moments of the Frankenstein novel have not yet been made into a film.

Mary Shelley’s Horror classic published in 1818 and has not only been made into a film countless times, according to Wikipedia, Frankenstein’s monster has even been interpreted 187 times in various forms.
