It’s the commotion in France to fight the fires favored by climate change this summer. In total, at 18 July, the two fires still in progress in Gironde have already burned nearly 15,000 hectares since July 12, i.e. more than 20 000 football pitches… The main sector affected is that of Landiras (southern Gironde), the second that of Teste-de-Buch (Arcachon basin). 15,000 additional people were evacuated in Gironde Monday, July 18, announced the prefecture.
