The group Massive Attack announced Tuesday on social networks the death of its guitarist Angelo Bruschini, at only 62 years old.
“I think I’m done for,” Angelo Bruschini wrote last July on his Facebook account, making his lung cancer public. Sad premonition: the guitarist died Monday October 23, 2023. He was 62 years old, his group, Massive Attack, announced on social networks this Tuesday. “Devastated”, the group wrote in a short message: “How lucky we all were to share such a life together. Such a brilliant, eccentric talent. Impossible to quantify your contribution. RIP Angelo.”
In spring 2022, Massive Attack was forced to cancel its tour in France, due to health problems of one of the members of the group, without his identity being revealed. Before Angelo Bruschini does it himself, in July 2023, on Facebook. “I’ve had a great life, traveled the world many times, met a lot of great people, but the door is closing,” the musician wrote.
Born in 1961 and originally from Bristol, Angelo Bruschini joined the group Massive Attack in 1997. That year, the group recorded their album Mezzaninereleased in stores in April 1998. A third opus which has since sold more than 2.5 million copies across the globe, recalls TF1 Info. Angelo Bruschini was then invited to perform on stage with the other members of the group formed in 1988. Massive Attack is known for several of its titles, including Teardropreleased in 1998, and better known to the general public as the soundtrack to the series Doctor House.
