In Sweden’s master chef, the jury becomes emotional when Maryam tells her story during her audition.
– My life began seven years ago when I got divorced. I was given responsibility for my life, she says.
Previously, it was others who decided, she continues.
– It was like a new start. Like being born again.

She is a single mother of two children and works as an interpreter today.
– All people have a strength within. Keep fighting, then you will succeed! She says.
She is nervous about her audition with the jury but believes in herself.
– I’m going to be Sweden’s master chef!
