Many fans praise Marvel’s Midnight Suns, but MeinMMO author Max Handwerk has ignored it until now. Now you can get the game for free.
What kind of game is this? Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a game full of superheroes, but made by the studio behind the XCOM games. Accordingly, the game relies heavily on strategic battles, but also on an exciting story.

I’ve been eyeing the game ever since Midnight Suns came out, as I’m a huge superhero fan and have devoured games like Spider-Man for the PS5. I’m also quite fond of the Marvel films, series and comics.
In addition, Midnight Suns has been praised since its release in 2022: by critics, but also by fans who have played through the game. You read again and again that the atmosphere of the game, the story and, above all, the interaction between the heroes are simply fun. There is a lot of interaction between the heroes – as a superhero fan, you can obviously plunge into a really beautifully designed world that tells an exciting story. This group aspect also excited me, figuratively speaking, in games like Baldur’s Gate 3.
What held me back was the expected gameplay. I’m not sure whether the strategic playing field and map approach of the XCOM makers is something for me. It’s probably quite far from a swinging and beating game like Spider-Man from Insomniac. It’s possible that I’ll still really enjoy it – but it could also go wrong, I thought. And I never wanted to spend the money just for the story.
How do you get it for free? The basic version of Midnight Suns is currently available for free in the Epic Games Store. If you have an account there, you can simply download the game and add it to your collection. This is valid until June 13th.

How was the game rated? On Steam, for example, Midnight Suns has a “Very Positive” review average of 82%. Metacritic gives the game a rating of 83%, which is also positive.
