Marvel Rivals Console Beta Dates Announced

Marvel Rivals Officially Announced

Console beta for Marvel Rivals has been announced. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam users will be able to participate between July 23 and August 5.

Following last month’s closed alpha Marvel Rivals for one off beta testing announced. This time, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam players will also be able to participate. Testing will begin at 6pm ET on July 23rd and continue until 3am ET on August 5th.

Details of Marvel Rivals Console Beta Testing

The beta will be open to players in North America, Europe and Asia, and those selected will be able to test the game’s cross-play feature with other versions. Those who want to participate at the console must fill out a survey and wait for an email to see if they have been selected. The survey asks participants about their familiarity with Marvel comics, TV series and movies, as well as PvP shooter games. NetEase is testing cross-play to ensure a good mix between players on various platforms.

The process will be slightly different for Steam users. Starting July 20, there will be an option to request access on the Marvel Rivals Steam page, and “those selected will be notified immediately.”

Unfortunately, we don’t know exactly how many participants NetEase needs for this Marvel Rivals test, so those looking to sign up should apply as soon as possible.

Characters, Map and Modes to be Available in Beta

Players participating in the test were Adam Warlock, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hela, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, Punisher, Rocket Raccoon, Star-Lord, Storm, Scarlet. They will be able to choose from characters such as Witch, Spider-Man and Venom. That’s the entire roster announced so far, so those opted for the closed beta will be able to get an idea of all the playable characters.

The concept of Marvel Rivals is all about the Multiverse, and the beta test will allow players to control four maps from two locations. Yggsgard (a mix of Yggdrasil and Asgard) features the Road of Yggdrasill map and the Royal Palace, while Tokyo 2099 features Shin-Shibuya and Spider-Islands.
