Ms. Marvel, Marvel’s first Muslim superhero, first appeared in the August 2013 comic book “Captain Marvel #14”. The character’s standalone comic book series was later released in February 2014. Since then she has also been featured in Spider-Man’s adventures many times.
Kamala Khan’s death came as a huge surprise, especially given her current popularity outside of comics. The fan base of the character, played by Iman Vellani, recently appeared on Disney+ as Ms. It exploded with the release of Marvel.
