Marvel Movies Postponed

Marvel Movies Postponed

The long-awaited Marvel movies, including Deadpool 3 and the new Captain America movie, have been postponed to a later date due to the ongoing strike of screenwriters in America.

As Hollywood studios reschedule after a six-month-long actor strike, Disney said Thursday that the new “Deadpool” movie, “Blade” and several other projects are being rescheduled. Marvel Movies announced its decision to postpone.

Marvel Movies Delayed by Nine Months

According to Disney’s statement, the release of the movie “Deadpool”, which was expected to be released in May, has been postponed to the end of July. As a result of this postponement, the film’s planned July release date for “Captain America: Brave New World” has been moved to February 2025.

Additionally, it was reported that the release date of “Thunderbolts”, one of the Marvel superhero movies, was postponed to July 2025, and “Blade” was postponed to November 2025.

Deadpool 3

Film and television series productions were halted due to the actor strike that lasted 118 days. With a tentative labor agreement reached on Wednesday, actors and studios have begun adjusting their schedules to complete their unfinished projects.

Disney also announced that it has postponed the release date of “Mufasa: The Lion King” to December 2024, five months later than previously planned, in order not to fall behind Marvel.

Of course, there will be a few Marvel Disney Plus movies and series releasing in 2024, but other than Echo, there are no release dates set for next year yet. While there have been some offers from Sony, this still doesn’t appear to be a near-term release for 2024’s Marvel movies and series.
