Marvel is postponing the 2 most important MCU films since

Thanks to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the Multiverse saga has only just gotten a breath of fresh air when the Master plan for the Marvel Cinematic Universe confused again. As the Hollywood Reporter reports, three major Marvel films have just been postponed. You can find the new start dates here.

Since Avengers 4: Endgame, we’ve been waiting for Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and Co to come together again. Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty was originally supposed to hit the cinemas in April 2025, before Avengers 6: Secret Wars in April 2026, the sixth phase of the MCU finished. Both films have now been postponed by one year.

Marvel reveals new theatrical release dates for Deadpool 3 and the next two Avengers films

Below are the new launch dates for Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers 6: Secret Wars.

  • Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty launches on May 1, 2026
  • Avengers 6: Secret Wars launches on May 7, 2027
  • When the next Avengres movie hits theaters, it will be seven years since Endgame. Such a long break has never existed between two such Marvel events. An official reason for the postponement is not known. It may have something to do with the writers’ strike in Hollywood.

While the next Avengers adventures are a long way off, we’re getting another Marvel film early on. Deadpool 3 hits on May 3, 2024 in theaters, although it was originally scheduled for November 2024. Hugh Jackman returns as Wolverine in the crossover film alongside Ryan Reynolds.
