DC fans can finally breathe easy. And must be careful not to choke in surprise. The search for the Marvel competitor’s Kevin Feige equivalent is finally over. It will be Guardians of the Galaxy creator James Gunn. Hopefully this will put an end to the chaos in Superman’s on-screen universe.
Superman boss: Marvel creator James Gunn is to lead DC into a new era
The Hollywood Reporter reports. As a result, were Gunn and producer Peter Safran (Shazam!) were appointed co-heads of DC Studios. In the future, the newly created sub-department will centrally plan and produce all films and series in the superhero universe.
Hopefully this will bring an end to a series of catastrophes and uncertainties at DC. After erratic creative decisions, Justice League scandals and The Flash assaults, a 10-year plan was needed after the controversial Batgirl cancellation. First and foremost, it provided for the search for a unique creative mind in the stature of Marvel guru Feige, who should hold all strands of DC development in their hands in the future.

What’s next for Black Adam under James Gunn?
Gunn has already proven how valuable he can be to the DC Universe with the acclaimed The Suicide Squad. In the future, he will have to take care of already announced cinema films such as Shazam 2: Fury of the Gods or Aquaman: Lost Kingdom with Safran, but also in particular determine the future path for DC with new films.
So he has to decide what happens next with Black Adam and Henry Cavill as Superman. And should continue to direct at the same time. I can only wish him the best of luck.
