On the occasion of the exhibition “ Revelation, contemporary art from Benin » at the Clément Foundation, Martinique, which aims to strengthen its ties with this West African country, also offers to discover a whole part of their common history: slavery. Through the monumental installation Cap 110, the artist Laurent Valère pays a powerful tribute to the victims of the last slave ship sinking in the history of the French Caribbean island.
