This year we’ll see another collaboration between director Martin Scorsese and actor Leonardo DiCaprio with Killers of the Flower Moon. In the past The duo has already produced several masterpieceswhich also includes the gangster thriller Departed – Among Enemies.
In a recent interview, Scorsese talked about how the Warner Bros. studio wanted a larger Departed franchise at the time. But nothing came of it, which put an end to the relationship between the director and the studio.

In the story of the film, which is a remake of the Chinese thriller Infernal Affairs, DiCaprio and Matt Damon play a cop and a gangster who swap roles and become one Undercover game of cat and mouse become entangled. In the GQ interview, Scorsese recently talked about how Warner would have liked to turn Departed into a franchise for which they wanted to have at least DiCaprio or Damon cast again. The final Departed ending was so well received by an initial test audience that no doubt about a possible change duration:
