Per Bolund formally resigns at the Green Party congress this weekend. But today’s EU debate in the Riksdag will be his last as spokesperson.
The party leaders brought gifts. Among the gifts were a rain poncho by Nooshi Dadgostar (V), a book about hiking trails in Stockholm by Magdalena Andersson (S) and a basketball from Johan Pehrson (L).

Märta Stenevi and Per Bolund have been spokespersons together since 2021, Bolund already took office in 2019, but then with Isabella Lövin.
Stenevi, who will soon have a new colleague, will soon learn to avoid the wet training clothes.
– I will miss Per’s warmth, his incredible wisdom and knowledge. There are few politicians who have such a big heart and a lot of warmth for their fellow human beings, says Stenevi.

Per Bolund takes his departure in stride.
– There is a lot of pressure on us party leaders and I will find it quite nice to take things a little more calmly in life and spend time with family, friends and interests. I will not miss the increasingly harsh language used in the debate.
What are you going to do now?
– Play more basketball, create some more wet training clothes. But then I will also allow myself to take it easy and think.
