Marius Borg Høiby’s friends are linked to a cocaine racket

Ex-football player and rapper • Related to Norway’s biggest drug lord • Money laundering and racketeering

The new information in Dagbladet revolves around a former soccer player. The man was for a few years one of the biggest soccer players in Norway.

This summer, the former soccer player was arrested in Amsterdam. He was taken to Norway, where he was detained on suspicion of possession of 34 kilograms of cocaine. The value of the cocaine is estimated at around NOK 30 million.

In early October, the ex-football player was released from custody. The next day, he was seen leaving a pub in Oslo together with a close friend of Marius Borg Høiby, known as the “Follo man”. Among other things, he is in a picture published by the German newspaper Bild where Borg Høiby is holding a small bag with white contents in his hand.

Related to a drug lord

The Follo man can also be linked to a Norwegian rapper who was previously convicted of, among other things, drug offences. According to Dagbladet’s information, he is related to a man who has been singled out as one of Norway’s biggest drug lords.

The rapper is also suspected in the same tangle as the ex-football player and has been in contact with the Follo man on several occasions. Among other things, they have been seen posing together in a picture in Marbella in April 2023. The picture was published in social media on an account belonging to the ex-footballer’s sister, who is also with the rapper.

In September 2023, a few months after the picture in Marbella was taken, Marius Borg Høiby was contacted by the Oslo police who announced that his friends were under surveillance due to suspicions of trafficking in large quantities of narcotics. Marius then stated that he was unaware of the information.

Celebrated Marius’ 20th birthday

Two months after the conversation with the police, the Follo man posts a picture from Dubai, where he later moves.

Included in the picture is a 38-year-old man who was previously convicted of cocaine possession and money laundering. The man has met Marius Borg Høiby several times. Among other things, they have been on holiday and watched Arsenal matches together, as well as partying in Oslo. The man also joined in celebrating Høiby’s 20th birthday.

In August of this year, the 38-year-old man was charged with fraud in the same tangle as the former soccer player and the rapper, both of whom have direct or indirect links to Marius Borg Høiby.
