Marius Borg Høiby arrested again

Marius Borg Høiby has been arrested – again.
According to the Norwegian police, he allegedly violated a no-contact order, this after he tried to call his ex-girlfriend from a hidden number, according to his lawyer.
On Saturday afternoon he was released, but the investigation has been expanded and he is now suspected of assault in a close relationship against two more former girlfriends.

Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s son Marius Borg Høiby, 27, was arrested on Friday evening, Norwegian police write in a press release.

According to the 27-year-old’s defense lawyer, he allegedly violated a no-contact order.

– Høiby was arrested because he is said to have contacted the victim once on Saturday 7 September, despite a restraining order, from a hidden phone number, says Øyvind Bratlien to VG.

Marius Borg Høiby disputes the information and denies any crime. On Saturday morning he was released, writes Television 2.

– He should never have been arrested, says Bratlien.

The indictment is expanded

Marius Borg Høiby was arrested for the first time on August 4 after being reported for assault and illegal threats by his then-girlfriend – something he has now admitted.

As recently as September 2, Borg Høiby was charged with a contact ban against her, which he is now suspected of having broken.

– It was decided that he should be arrested due to the risk of repetition, the police said VG.

Due to Friday’s arrest, the Oslo police announce that the prosecution has been expanded. Now he is also being investigated for assault in a close relationship by two former girlfriends, in addition to the incident with the girlfriend on August 4.

He is also charged with threatening a person.

In addition, he is being investigated for reckless behavior and accused of violating a no-contact order due to the conversation on September 7.

Silence from the crown prince couple

The Norwegian crown prince couple has so far refused to answer questions about the suspicions.

It is not right to say anything more about the matter at this time out of consideration for everyone involved, Crown Prince Haakon said at a short press conference in connection with a visit to Trøndelag on Thursday.
