MARION RED. Consultant for France Télévisions and director of the next Tour de France women, Marion Rousse is one of the voices of the Grande Boucle.
Presented once again for comments in the company of Laurent Jalabert and Alexandre Pasteur, the former professional cyclist Marion Rousse confided in the newspaper TV Magazine a few weeks ago to explain how it works in the cabin. “It’s a year-round job. I watch all the races. On the Tour, we spot the route in the morning with Laurent Jalabert and Alexandre Pasteur. It’s an important moment for the quality of our comments. Just like the having a connection with the peloton and knowing the anecdotes, “she said. “We’ve been commenting together for years and we know each other very well, so it’s fluid and natural. And then none of us have an oversized ego, she added. We all have in mind that the stars are the cyclists and that we are just here to talk about it.”
Also questioned about his relationship with Laurent Jalabert, Marion Rousse pays tribute to him. “With Jaja, you can only get along well, there’s never a problem. He’s happy, he’s living his life. It’s true that the trio worked straight away. And even better now because “we got to know each other. But what is also our strength is that we travel a lot on events. We talk to each other in the cabin, but all the rest of the week, we drive together , we have a real life together, she recently told in the Borders podcast.. Suddenly, this complicity, it is true, it is real. What you hear in the studio or in the comments, it’s really like we talk to each other in the evening at the table. France TV, it was really a turning point in my career, in my life.”

Biography of Marion Rousse – Born on 19 August 1991 in Saint-Saulve, Marion Rousse is a former French cyclist who became a television journalist. Marion Rousse made herself known to the general public by joining the team of France TV commentators on the Tour de France in 2017. The one who previously awarded the Antargaz combativeness prize at each end of the stage was already a regular at the Grande Boucle for several reasons. Family, already: his father, Didier Rousse, but especially his cousins David and Laurent Lefèvre just like Olivier Bonnaire, all practiced cycling at more or less high level. Even if her father is reluctant to get her on a bike, she signs her first license at the age of 6 “in secret“. Time passes and cycling takes more place in the life of Marion: “I went to the competitions every weekend. When I was on vacation, I took the opportunity to train more. On weekends, there was no question of going out with friends and girlfriends because I had competitions“, she assured a few years ago to Télé-Loisirs. Sacrifices which end up paying since “in 2012, she achieved a real feat: the double at the French championships. In her native North, she is crowned among the hopefuls but also among the elites. Her notoriety inevitably rising, she was spotted by Eurosport and very quickly took to the TV set game. “I don’t have the impression of going to work every day”, says the one who also intervened in Stade 2 and Tout le sport, so much so that she preferred to put an end to her sports career to devote herself fully to her role as a consultant.
The face of Marion Rousse is not unknown to lovers of the Tour de France, far from it. Indeed, from 2013 to 2016, as a hostess, she awards the Antargaz fighting spirit prize every day to the runner deemed the most deserving by a panel of experts. In 2017, she became a member of the jury designating the rider “Super Combatif du Tour”. Also in 2017, Marion Rousse became a consultant for France Télévisions on the roads of the Tour de France. She thus participates in stage commentaries but also in the Vélo Club program presented by Laurent Luyat. Still on the public service, she can appear in the sports broadcasts Stade 2 and Tout le sport (France 3) in her capacity as a cycling expert.
Each year for the broadcast of the Tour de France, the public service organizes the daily program Vélo Club to accompany the Tour. Orchestrated by Laurent Luyat, the program looks back on the day’s stage but also on the Tour de France as a whole. Marion Rousse has been on set there since 2017, when the show was entrusted to Laurent Luyat.
