Marion Maréchal, candidate least appreciated by the French

Marion Marechal candidate least appreciated by the French

The head of the Reconquest to the Europeans list Marion Maréchal appears to be the candidate least appreciated by the French, according to the latest Odoxa political barometer carried out by Mascaret.

Forty days before the European elections, the Reconquest list led by Marion Maréchal is floundering. According to the latest reading from the Odoxa political barometer, produced by Mascaret for Public Senate and the regional daily press, published this Tuesday, April 30, Eric Zemmour’s protégé is credited with 5.5% of voting intentions.

Indeed, the Reconquest list comes far behind the leading trio made up of the RN list led by Jordan Bardella (32%), that of the majority led by Valérie Hayer (15.5%), and that of the Socialist Party/Place public, led by Raphaël Glucksmann who completes the podium with 12% of voting intentions. More annoying for Reconquête, the list of Republicans (8%), and those of Ecologists and Insoumis (7%) also do better.

47% of French people reject Marion Maréchal

Results which can be explained by the low popularity of Marion Maréchal. It provokes 47% rejection for 26% support. At the same time, 25% of French people questioned expressed indifference towards it. For comparison, the socialist Raphaël Glucksmann is rejected by 31% of voters, a figure which rises to 25% for the Macronist candidate, Valérie Hayer. Marion Maréchal is therefore, quite clearly, the candidate least appreciated by the French. Among right-wing and far-right sympathizers, Marion Maréchal is losing ground. It has 54% support, two points less than the last survey last February. Far behind Jordan Bardella (76%) and Marine Le Pen (77%).

The Odoxa survey was carried out on April 25 and 26, 2024, on the internet, among a sample of 1,005 French people, representative of the French population aged 18 and over. The representativeness of the sample is ensured by the quota method applied to the following variables: sex, age, level of diploma and profession of the interviewee after stratification by region and category of urban area.
