February 24 marks exactly one year since Russia invaded Ukraine. In the past year, tens of thousands of refugees were received in the Netherlands, including in the province of Utrecht. On Friday, Utrecht will reflect extensively on one year of war.
This happens, among other things, with the ringing of the bells of the Dom tower. Also there is one Walk of Hopethrough the city. There will then be a meeting in the Jaarbeurs, where more than 1700 Ukrainians are expected. The program includes a visit from Utrecht mayor Sharon Dijksma and a video message from Ukrainian president Zelensky.
