Several women have accused musician Marilyn Manson of sexual violence. Charges are not brought due to, among other things, lack of evidence.
Rape accused Marilyn Manson will not be charged with sexual crimes, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman says.
Musician Manson, real name Brian Warnerhas been under rape and violent crime investigation for years. Several women have accused Manson of, among other things, rape, sexual abuse and intimate partner violence.
According to Hochman, no charges will be brought, because the accusations of violence are too old, and there is not enough evidence of sexual violence.
In early 2021, Los Angeles authorities announced that they were investigating allegations against Manson regarding events between 2009 and 2011.
The names of the persons interviewed by the police and prosecutors have not been made public.
Actor known from the TV series Game of Thrones Esme Bianco however, he himself has said in public that he was part of the criminal investigation. Bianco finally settled on a mediation solution. He has criticized the authorities for the slowness of the investigation.
Bianco says he gave criminal investigators “hundreds of pieces of evidence, including photographs of bite marks, bruises and knife cuts on my body, as well as emails, text messages and threats about my immigration status”.
In addition, Manson has been publicly accused by his ex-spouse, an actress Evan Rachel Wood.
In 2021, Wood said in an Instagram post that Manson had taken advantage of her. Wood and Manson’s relationship became public in 2007, when Manson was 38 years old and Wood was 19 years old.
“He started seducing me when I was a teenager and he abused me in a horrible way for years,” Wood said.
Manson, Bianco and Wood did not respond to the AP’s request for comment on Friday.
Manson has previously denied all allegations. He sued Wood after he went public with his allegations. However, a judge dismissed much of the charge, and in April Manson agreed to drop it and pay Wood’s legal costs.
