When Nyheter24 talks to Marie Louise, she says that Hotel Romantik was a fantastic experience, but that it was hard work. Before the trip, she had looked forward to getting to know the gang properly, but sometimes there wasn’t enough time.
– Things were happening all the time, so there wasn’t much time to sit and talk to the women the way I would have liked to. It wasn’t a vacation, but a job, but a fun one, says Marie Louise to Nyheter24.
Marie Louise had a clear picture of what she was looking for in the program. She was all about mingling, and she wanted to make sure she was honest, both with herself and the others.
– I felt that I should choose the person I might meet as much as he chooses me. I will also mingle with the men who are there. It felt important to get an idea of everyone.

Quickly she got and Heikki Pohjolainen eyes for each other in Hotel romance, which led to her not making as much of an effort to get to know the other men. After she and Heikki decided to continue as friends, she hadn’t had time to get to know the rest.
– I regret not mingling more the first evening, I could have done that, says Marie Louise and continues:
– But I took a liking to Heikki then, so maybe it was right then.
In retrospect, she is proud that she dared to be honest with Heikki about wanting to end their relationship, because it wasn’t always easy to say what you think.
– I’m glad I said what I said. I wish I would have realized earlier in my life to always be honest, but I think I am brave.
