Marie is addicted to buying sofas – has debts of

Marie, 61, lives in Ludvika with her cats, and has a great interest in music and dance bands. Almost 15 years ago, she divorced, and soon after started taking out loans for entertainment and furnishings.

For many years, she has continued to take new loans and credits, and has not understood how much the debts have grown. The sister Helen are increasingly forced to help Marie financially, most recently when they were seeing Larz-Kristerz. Also the nephew Albino is worried about his aunt’s finances, and appeals for Lyxfällan’s help.

– I think Marie suffers from FOMO, “fear of missing out”. We buy a new toad for my mother, and Marie comes three days later with a new toad. Mother buys a new bed, and Marie brings a new bed, explains nephew Albin.

– Now we’re going home to Marie here, who is apparently a sofa addict. I have never come into contact with that concept in all my years in Lyxfällan, explains Magnus Hedberg.

Marie says that she has taken out loans because she wants to “feel luxurious and have some money in an account”, and among other things, she spends large sums of money on sofas and cigarettes.

– I have never been satisfied with a sofa in my life. We all have different addictions, and I’m a sofa addict, says Marie.
