Marie-Ann Yemsi, the happy migrant – In G major

Marie Ann Yemsi the happy migrant In G major

War horses are born on borders, this is what a certain Lao Tseu teaches us. Our guest is a professional walker who transcends borders with artistically handpicked horses.

From Germany to Cameroon via France, Marie-Ann Yemsi went around quite a bit, to finally anchor itself in the world of art and African artists. Graduated in Political Sciences, artistic director of Afrotopia, the 11th edition of the Bamako Photographic Meetings and curator of a good number of international exhibitions, she wants to put the cursor on a philosophy stemming from the Bantu languages: Ubuntu, a lucid dream currently at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris brings together twenty contemporary artists from Africa and the diaspora who place their works in this African philosophy.
