On the occasion of the twenty years of Nouvelle Star, Marianne James resumes her role as juror of the tele-hook of M6, this Wednesday, February 15.
Nouvelle Star is celebrating its 20th anniversary! The cult M6 show, whose first episode was broadcast on March 27, 2003, celebrates its anniversary for two evening events, these Wednesdays February 15 and 22, 2023. For this occasion, M6 has brought together many former candidates from the show, but also its equally cult jury, made up of André Manoukian, Manu KatcheDove Attia and Marianne James.
Nicknamed the fantastic four, they delighted the viewers of Nouvelle Star with their laughter and their cash replicas. So many moments gathered in the show New Star, 20 yearsmuch to the delight of nostalgic fans.
Among the four historical jurors of the M6 program, Marianne James had been able to pull out of the game thanks to his cult repartee and his unfiltered personality. Among his finest punchlines, “You have shit in your ears”, “I don’t agree with the system at this stage of the show. We should have had all 15 of them sing, without a trio, without this crap with two bullets. Because there, we have to fire one (…) and that, disgusting”, or even “My problem is that the more you sing, the more I find it old-fashioned”, thrown at a candidate disappointed with the auditions.
Among the other cult moments of Marianne James, her falling out with the other jurors. “I’m fed up, do you want to clown around?”, she says in particular to Dove Attia, who replied with a frank “but shut your g ****”, or a scathing: “C is a bullshit fest this morning, are you gonna leave people alone?”, to the rest of the jury.
