Mari Eder was even fighting for a place on the podium until she made a careless mistake – EPN’s expert: “A little amateur thing”

Mari Eder was even fighting for a place on the

Mari Eder was at a great skiing speed, but could not get the cap properly in place in the vertical position. The Finn is still putting the pieces together in shooting.

Mari Eder was still in the fight for the top three when he arrived at the standing position, but bad shooting was the Finn’s fate in the Kontiolahti World Cup 7.5 km sprint race.

The Finn was 19th in the final results. He was just over 50 seconds behind the race winner About Lisa Hauser.

Eder had shot cleanly from the prone position, but there were problems in the upright position. He couldn’t get the magazine into place, so he fired a blank on his first attempt.

– Apparently, a little care is still needed when standing up. The magazine didn’t go all the way and I made one empty shot before I opened again and had to start the series from the beginning, Eder lamented to Urheilu.

– It was just my own care. For some reason I didn’t feel like it didn’t go all the way. It makes a sound, but you can usually feel it with your finger. A little patience for small things before you get to the series. That’s probably what it’s all about, Eder continued.

According to Eder, the maku was technically well performed. He also dared to set off briskly in his opinion. The goal was that when he gets to the vertical position, he will take the wall climb a little easier.

– Physically, there was definitely a good speed distribution. Pieces are piled up in a shooting manner, Eder formulated.

Eder was at an excellent skiing pace, as he was the second fastest of the whole group by Elvira Öberg after. Eder was 24 seconds behind Öberg, but was among others Hanna Öberg, Denise Herrmann-Wick and Lisa Vittozia faster on the track.

– Great skiing on Mari today. There was a little amateurish thing going on. For some reason, he didn’t notice that the magazine didn’t go far enough and the cartridge wouldn’t go then. Urheilu’s expert came up with a blank shot Ville Kotikumpu comment on the broadcast.

On Sunday, Kontiolahti will compete in a ten-kilometer pursuit. Eder starts 50 seconds after Hauser. Italian Lisa Vittozzi (+17.3) starts chasing second and Sweden Linn Persson (+24.2) third.

Eder does not have a placement goal for Sunday. He gives chase with shooting technique in mind.

– I would like to be able to do well on the bench and stick to doing so that there would be successful elements. For me, the stronger races are those where you ski alone, when the physical side is stronger, Eder says and continues:

– In the pursuit, even the weaker ones are more easily involved, when skiing in a tube and the matter is solved with a bench. I think that I use the opportunities to drive my system in. I feel it’s coming, but let’s see if we can get it together, Eder reflected.

Remember the Finns Suvi Minkkinen was the 27th, Venla Lehtonen 40’s, Nastassia Kinnunen 43’s and Erika Jänkä 55:s.

The Kontiolahti World Cup continues on Sunday with men’s and women’s pursuits. You can watch the live broadcast on TV2 from 1:15 p.m.
