The so-called “staircase video” was the starting point for a storm around Margaux Dietz. She lost several collaborations and advertisers, and then issued an apology.

Just two months after the stair video went viral, it could News24 reveal that Margaux Dietz was also involved in a blackface scandal.
Margaux Dietz on tough times: “It can’t be goodbye”
Now it has been almost a year since the scandals surrounding Margaux Dietz, and today she is once again active as an influencer and on Instagram today she has a little over 300,000 followers.
There she updates about her life, with travels, family life and apartment renovation.
But lately it has been a bit quiet from Margaux Dietz – and the reason for that is very sad. On Instagram, she tells more about why she has been lying low on her social media. Her grandfather has gone out of time.

“We’ve been back and forth to Holland saying goodbye to Opa. But how do you say goodbye to the nicest person on earth…. It can’t be goodbye. I’m saving all the memories and important stories you gave us everyone. I’m so grateful for all the time we got together but it’s still tough. We already miss you too much but as Arnold said you probably went to heaven now because you missed oma so much,” writes Margaux.
In the comments section, Margaux is met with support from friends and followers who send her their condolences. Both Kristin Kaspersen, Pernilla Wahlgren, Patrick Ekwall and Jessica Almenäs is among those who have shown their concern for Margaux.

In mid-August, Margaux and the son were Arnold on a visit to Holland to celebrate grandfather Theo’s birthday.
“The happiness of being able to celebrate Opa,” she wrote at the time.
