Marcus & Martinus win Melodifestivalen 2024

We have a result! Marcus & Martinus win Melodifestivalen 2024 with their entry “Unforgettable” and it will be the Norwegian twins who will represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest.

– Thank you Sweden for voting for us, says a teary-eyed Marcus in the broadcast.

Marcus & Martinus got a total of 177 points and Medina who landed in second place got 104 points.

And it is a historic evening in Melodifestivalen. Foreign nationals have previously featured in a couple of the winning entries, but never before has an entirely foreign group or artist won.

Were big favorites even before

Marcus & Martinus made their debut in Melodifestivalen last year with the contribution “Air” and then landed in second place. Now they have had their revenge, and the win is not entirely unexpected.

Even before the final, Marcus & Martinus were big favorites with both the betting companies’ odds on their side – and the votes of the rep audience. In Melodifestivalklubben’s audience poll after Friday night’s rehearsal, Marcus & Martinus received the most votes – a whopping 27.9 percent of them.
