Marcus Dubois all scars: “The sickest…”

Marcus Dubois all scars The sickest

Addiction has run in the influencer and Youtuber’s family Marcus Dubois. His maternal uncle Micke “Svullo” Dubois killed himself, aged 46. By then he had been battling addiction and mental illness for many years.

Even Marcus Dubois’ grandfather was addicted.

– I know that there were tablets involved with grandpa and Micke. Then I thought a little bigger. I don’t have the genes to keep doing this one more fucking day, says Marcus Dubois in the documentary The pain and addiction to SVT Edit.

The sport that Dubois practices – motocross – is not entirely harmless. It was the gateway to the prescription pain medication he became addicted to.

– I have hurt myself a lot since I was about 14 years old. I broke 20 bones in six, seven years. I have averaged 1-2 injuries a year, he says in the documentary.

He has broken one of his feet on three different occasions.

– I broke the heel in 20 pieces, they counted. There are 8 screws here that hold the heel together, he explains.

– So it was a few years after that I broke the entire lower leg. So I have two tiles here on each side. And 13 screws. It’s broken like on three occasions in four or five different places anyway, he says.

One of the most extensive injuries he has is on one buttock. In the documentary, he shows the healed scar, which stretches from the back down over the buttock and thigh.

– But this is the sickest scar I have. They opened up the whole fucking ass. It looks trick filmed. It looks fake, doesn’t it, he says.

In the beginning, Marcus Dubois took medicine because he was in terrible pain. At first he didn’t even know what it was he was taking.

From the hospital he was given OxyContin. A normal dose of the morphine preparation is 10-20 mg every 12 hours. At his worst, Dubois took 240 – 300 mg tablets – a day. An incredible amount, quite simply.

– No problem, he says.

A broken sternum was Dubois 22’s injury.

– One more on the list, he says jokingly in the documentary.

Today, Marcus Dubois is drug-free, but every day is tough.

– It’s a struggle every day and maybe it will be for the rest of my life, he says.
