The Norwegian twins and the pop duo Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen won the Melodifestivalen with the entry “Unforgettable”. Now they will represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, which is held on home soil, specifically at the Malmö Arena in Malmö.
Low ranking before the competition
The big Eurovision final takes place on Saturday, May 11. It has already been decided that the Swedish contribution will be the first on stage in the competition. Being the first contribution is something that statically usually leads to a poor placement in the competition.
In addition, there is another pre-favourite, judging from the betting companies’ tallies. The big favorite right now is Croatia, which has not even placed in the top three before. This year they are presenting the contribution “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” by Baby Lasagnareports SVT.

On Saturday evening, the twins played the song “Air” at Euroclub in Malmö. On site was Aftonbladet’s journalist Tobbe Oak who managed to catch on film when one of the performers shouts out “Come back Stockholm”.
Alas, they weren’t in Stockholm. But the artists are quick to correct themselves and shout “Malmö” instead.
“Oops, which city were we in, Marcus and Martinus?”, writes Ek in a post on X, where he caught the mistake.
