Marcron responds to Kristersson’s coffee invitation

President of France Emmanuel Macron is to carry out a two-day state visit to Sweden.
Then Prime Minister Kristersson took the opportunity to invite him to coffee and tell him a little about the cold weather in Sweden.
“I come well prepared, warmly dressed. Looking forward to sharing a coffee!”, Macron replied.

The two-day state visit will begin tomorrow together with the president’s wife Birgitte Macron. In his company he also has several ministers from the French government.

The schedule includes visits to the Modern Museum and Rinkeby School, talks with the Speaker and the Prime Minister and lunch with the King and Queen Silvia. Maybe there will also be coffee with the prime minister.

Macron: “Will come well prepared”

On social media, Ulf Kristersson shared a video during the day before the president’s visit where he offered a couple of tips. Among other things, he warned of the cold weather.

“There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes. You will hear this if you start complaining about the snow,” says Kristersson.

He also talked about the Swedish tradition of fika and enticed with a cinnamon roll.

Then he warned of serious consequences if he refused a coffee. The French president, with his 3.3 million followers on Instagram, responded to Kristersson’s video on Monday evening.

“Dear Ulf, thank you for the information. I come well prepared, warmly dressed. Looking forward to sharing a coffee!”, Macron replied.

Caused a stir

Kristersson’s video has not only caught the attention of the French president. In the comments, Kristersson’s attempt to be a little humorous in Swedish is both mocked and praised.

The clip was also commented on by the opposition. On X, Social Democrat Annika Strandhäll shared the clip with the comment “Ok……..”.
