Marcos Ruiz is crowned in Albania one silver and two

The Spaniard gets his doctorate in the European Weightlifting Championships held in Tirana. With three metals (silver in start and bronze in two times and Olympic total in its category: up to 102 kilos).

The first lift 168 kilos, already foreshadowed that some record could fall. That theory would be endorsed with a lift of 173 kiloswhich was already a record for Spain (170 kilos, also his), which he would beat again with a last lift of 176 kilos.

In two times, he lifted 203 kilos to later get 208. Finally, in a last attempt to climb a position in the medal drawer, he failed to lift 212, which would have been a Spanish record (210 kilos, also in his possession). And in two times he got the bronze by computing 384 kilosalso a record for Spain (set at 375 by himself).

With these last three medals, the Spanish delegation leaves Tirana (Albania) with 14 medals. Two golds, five silvers and seven bronzes is the loot obtained by the Spanish athletes, with stellar participations from Marcos Ruiz, Andres Mata, and Jose Brachi (nine medals between the three).
