– We did a relocation in the harbor area to a new berth, to be able to unload the cargo that has been on the Marco Polo, says Peter Jönsson, rescue leader at the Western Blekinge Rescue Service.
The unloading work carried out by the port of Karlshamn will continue for a number of hours in the future, states Jönsson.

The passenger ferry TT-Line Marco Polo has grounded a total of three times since October 22. The consequence has been a major oil leak, and some oil has reached land in the municipalities of Sölvesborg and Karlshamn.
