Poet, slammer and novelist, Knight of the National Order of Merit, Marc Alexandre Oho Bambe, also known as Captain Alexandre, carries poetry within him. It is a state of mind, a dream, a goal and a path that allows him through the pages of his collections and his travels in Africa and elsewhere “to poetically inhabit the world”.
Marc Alexandre Oho Bambe alias Captain Alexandre says it himself in his latest book: transforming his heartbeat into a poem, that’s what he will have tried to do all his life. It was by listening to the guests of his mother, professor of Philosophy and Literature in Douala that his dream of becoming a poet germinated.
Marc Alexandre Oho Bambe, writer, poet, slammer, founder of the collective “We slammed on the moon» publishes today a collection «poem life», published by Memories of Inkwell.
A book which is an invitation to “poetically inhabit the world”, to carry poetry in one’s voice, and in one’s daily life.
At the end of the show, Marjorie Bertin presents Afriquatuors, the very first (or almost) chamber music ensemble dedicated to African music. They will be in concert at the Ermitage studio on November 29, 2022, in Paris.
