The recall concerns Marabou Milk Chocolate 200g with best before date 12.10.2024 and batch number OUV0135022.
The milk chocolate is marked with “may contain nuts”, but the allergen profile of the milk chocolate does not include almonds. These particular packages may contain pieces of the chocolate cake Marabou Orange Crook – which contains almonds. Therefore, there is a health risk for those with an almond allergy.
“Consumers who have purchased Marabou Milk Chocolate with the indicated expiration date and batch number are asked to return the product to the store where they purchased it for a refund, or alternatively contact Mondelez customer service,” writes Mondelez.
