At home in her studio, Anna cuts the cards into pieces. “At first it hurt to cut them, but I saw that it gives more stratification to my work.” The pieces of card gives them a color with transparent paint, but in such a way that the names of villages, towns and roads are still recognizable. “At a distance you see one whole, when you get closer you will recognize place names. I always like that very much.” It all started for Anna with cards that she had gathered over the years herself during her travels.
