Mapped girls in Umeå for decades – now the man is convicted of gross child pornography offenses

It was in connection with the 80-year-old man moving into a retirement home that the survey and the suspected child pornography crime were discovered, by the man’s good man.

The survey of thousands of young girls in Umeå, who have been going on for decades, was not considered criminal. The man got his survey back.

– The investigation contains no pornographic pictures. Notes are not enough and therefore that crime falls completely away. Also, alternative crimes such as abusive are not relevant because the children have not seen or known about the material, said criminal justice expert Ann Lundgren before.

Acknowledged holdings during the trial: “Bought in a kiosk”

Instead, the man was prosecuted for having almost 1800 images with gross child pornographic content. At the trial, the man acknowledged the possession-but said that it should not be a serious crime and that it was about 40 pictures.

“I bought them in any kiosk in 1972, I don’t think it was until 1980 holding became illegal,” said the man in court.

The man is now being convicted of gross child pornography offenses at Umeå District Court. He is sentenced to four months in prison. The man gets a penalty because of his age.
