According to the UN HungerMap There are over 800 million people who are either expected to suffer from food shortages, or who are already in the middle of it. In Afghanistan, food shortages are widespread in 92 percent of the country, the highest in the world.
To prevent an impending famine, money is needed, and wars and conflicts will cease. According to Michael Dunford, head of the UN’s World Food Program in East Africa, there are measures that can be put in place – if funding is available.
