There are several different parties that have had their signs destroyed. The Justice Party Socialists in Luleå is one of them.
– We have experienced a higher level of destruction with a more extreme aggression this election year. They don’t just tear down, they kick the signs to pieces, says Liv Shange Moyo (RS).
What do you think it is due to?
– It is probably a gauge of the more intolerant political climate where anti-democratic forces have started to feel more cocky.
Have reported to the police before
According to Luleå municipality, the election posters may be placed five weeks before the election and must be removed no later than one week after the election. Broken election posters and devices must be replaced or removed as soon as possible. But it is unclear whether the Justice Party will have time to replace the broken election signs this time before the election.
– Already early in the campaign we made a police report when our signs were destroyed and we have already made several rounds this week and set up new ones but this time it may be difficult to make it, says Liv Shange Moyo (RS).
