This week there were two incidents in Utrecht in which a TBS patient was (possibly) involved.
On Wednesday, a TBS patient escaped from supervised leave at the Jaarbeursplein. He was arrested a day later in Den Bosch. The name of this man has not been released, because the clinic said it did not expect ‘the patient to cause problems.’ An investigation has been launched and the patient’s right to go on leave has expired. “There are always things you could learn from.”
In addition, the police are looking for a man who allegedly pulled a 19-year-old cyclist off her bike this week. This has apparently happened more often recently. Sources tell the NOS that it concerns a former TBS’er who has been convicted of a sex crime. According to the police and the Public Prosecution Service, the situation is serious enough to distribute his photo. He has not yet been found.
So we are talking about two different things with two different people.
