At least ten people have been killed in knife attacks in two communities in the Canadian countryside. Another fifteen people have been injured.

The police are looking for two suspects.

Some of the victims appear to have been deliberately chosen, while others appear to have been attacked at random.

– What happened in our province today is terrible, says Rhonda Blackmore of the Saskatchewan Mounted Police.

According to her, it concerns thirteen crime scenes where either deceased or injured people were found.

The two suspects were last seen in Saskatchewan’s capital, Regina, and police are urging the public to be cautious.

“If you are in the Regina area, please take precautions and consider taking shelter. Do not leave a safe place. Do not approach suspicious persons. Do not pick up hitchhikers,” the police wrote in a message on Twitter.
