At least 17 people have been killed and several injured in a bus accident in northeastern Brazil.
The bus drove off a mountain and into a ravine in a remote forest area in the state of Alagoas, state governor Paulo Dantas said on X.
The location is said to be difficult to reach for the emergency services. The bus was carrying local tourists, who were on their way to a park up on the mountain.
The death toll was initially reported at 23, but was later revised.
Dantas has declared three days of mourning in the state.
