44 people have been killed and more than 120 injured in a suicide attack at a political rally in Pakistan, police said.
The bomb detonated in the northwestern district of Bajur, which borders Afghanistan where hundreds of supporters of the politician Maulana Fazlur Rehman who leads the Islamist party JUI-F.
Several injured have been taken to hospital and according to the police the death toll may rise.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
