Manufacturer sells an Intel mainboard for 800 euros and makes a nasty typo

ASUS sells a range of special products related to the anime Evangelion. But ASUS made a mistake with the mainboard for around 800 euros. This is what a YouTuber reports.

A few months ago, ASUS introduced a new range of products based on the anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion”. All models have a unique design and are correspondingly expensive. But the manufacturer made a mistake with the expensive mainboard.

The error only occurs with expensive motherboards

Where is the error? The error is located on the left side of the motherboard lettering. Instead of Evangelion it says Evangenlion, which is one “N” too many. And the error appears not only on the products sold, but also on the official images that ASUS uses on its website. Popular YouTuber Jay2Cents posted a picture of the error on Twitter:

Many people speculate that it must be a typo because ASUS doesn’t misspell the name all the way through, but only on one side of the motherboard.

What’s next? Products that have already been shipped and sold are said to contain the error, which should be annoying enough. This is what our colleagues from Videocardz.com report. The RTX 4090 in the Evangelion design for just under 2,800 euros should at least not be affected by this error. That should reassure at least a few buyers.

However, it is said to be just a design flaw. The mainboard should work perfectly despite typos.

ASUS has not yet commented on the product defect.

New motherboard for a lot of money: The manufacturer MSI has also presented a motherboard for which you have to spend as much as for a complete gaming PC. You don’t pay a lot of money for a special design, but for the installed components. MeinMMO explains what you get for the money:

A new mainboard costs 1,700 euros – but what can it actually do?
