There is a strong fire in Skärva mansion in Karlskrona.
The farm is from the 18th century and part of the world heritage.
– We have an extensive effort at the scene, says Johanna Månsson at the rescue service.
The alarm came at 18.33 and so far there is a fire in part of a wing.
– There is a risk of spreading to the rest of the building, says Johanna Månsson.
Details: Started in the kitchen
An extensive operation is underway at the site with units from Karlskrona, Ronneby and Rödeby fighting the flames.
It is unclear if anyone has been injured.
According to information to BLT the fire is said to have broken out in a kitchen at the back of the house.
Built by order of Gustav III
Skärva mansion dates from the 18th century and was built by the shipbuilder Fredrik Henrik af Chapman. Behind the project was King Gustav III, who ordered Chapman to move to Karlskrona to develop the build-up of Sweden’s navy.
The manor house has been a building monument since 1975 and is also part of the world heritage of the Imperial City of Karlskrona.
