(Finance) – The maneuver will arrive in the Chamber at Senate Monday 18 January. “The government has shared the hypothesis of moving the maneuver to the Senate floor to the 18th, because there is a need to table amendments on some very important issues”, declared the Minister for Relations with Parliament, Luca Ciriani, at the end of the meeting of the Bureau in the Senate. “The first concerns the revision of the calculation of pensions of the personal healthcarelong awaited.”
“The second is the coverage ofunion agreement with the Strength armies of police on the subject of renewal of the contracts. Then the government will allocate an additional fund for the special regions who have had a penalty with the fiscal delegation (renewal of Irpef withholdings), and then there will be a fund to compensate the ordinary regions for the increase in energy costs. The fourth is on investments, in particular a redetermination of the costs of Bridge over the Straitwith a different structuring of costs borne by the State and the Region”, explained the minister.
“As regards the Government’s amendment to the budget, the amendment will make it clear that there will not be any penalties for old age pensions. A further protection mechanism will also be envisaged for the health sector”, underlined Ciriani speaking to the Senate. “We will proceed in stages – added the minister -. In the meantime we wait for deposit of the amendments then from Monday the beginning of the debate and discussion in the commission. We work for the fastest possible outcome without limiting the timescales and without stifling the debate in the commission as we have said and guaranteed, and I believe that the opposition must demonstrate this to us”.
Even the group leader of Fi in the Senate, Maurice Gasparri, at the end of the group leaders’ meeting confirmed the subject of the amendments. The government “has announced four topics that will be addressed: security-defense package, social security also in reference to the health sector, local authorities and topics related to investments, including the bridge over the Strait and infrastructure. Topics that the government has announced that will address with specific amendments that will be filed in the next few hours”, explained Gasparri.
