(Finance) – The Ministry of Labour would be working on a return to the original version of Option Woman. As reported by Ansa, in fact, the extension of the pension treatment contained in the Budget Law could not link the leaving age to the number of children – a hypothesis that emerged during the Council of Ministers that approved the maneuver – but rather confirm the previous one provision which provided for the possibility of accessing the pension anticipated for female workers with 35 years or more of contributions and at least 58 years of age for female employees and 59 years for the self-employed.
The Ministry of Economy would now be seeking the financial backing for the one-year extension after the doubts of unconstitutionality raised on the solution that emerged in Cdm.
In fact, the maneuver approved on Monday provides that the extension for 2023 would remain open to female workers aged 58 with two children or more or aged 59 with one child, thus discriminating against couples who cannot have sons or those who choose not to have any.
