(Finance) – The resources to cover the maneuver “they come from our work. The data for 2024 are considered positive by all observers. The data on the spread comforts us. We have created the public finance conditions to reduce taxes tomedium-low incomes and we have made the measure structural“. This was reiterated by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Giancarlo Giorgetti, responding to question time in the Senate.
“There has been a lot of controversy over the increase in house taxes. It is absolutely false”, clarified the Minister, explaining that the operation envisaged by the government concerns the updating of the cadastral data of the properties undergoing renovation and the so-called ‘ghost houses’. “Anyone with a bit of experience knows that anyone who carries out a building renovation, especially if it is done with state money, has a specific obligation to update the cadastral data. We are required, and will do so, to verify the updated of the data and those of the homes of those who have never declared them”. The intervention, concluded the Minister, is part of the activities to fight tax evasion.
“With reference to the 2025 budget, the Mef specifies and reiterates that in terms of measures to support the birth rate, contrary to what is reported by some media outlets, there are, among others, relief also for mothers with two children”. This was reported in a note from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, adding that “the measure will be extended to self-employed women”.
