Maneuver, Confcommercio: extend system charges stop

Maneuver Confcommercio extend system charges stop

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – The draft Budget Law for 2023 is characterized by a right concentration of mobilized resources on the side of measures to contrast the impact of expensive energy. In particular, article 3 of the bill brings the zeroing of general system charges in the electricity sector for the first quarter 2023.

Unlike what has been put in here so far field for all quarters of 2022, it is, however, about a surgery limited to users with available power up to 16.5 kW: so we read in a note by Confcommerce.

Exclusion from scope of this intervention of the utilities with higher available power – continues the note – implies that a large part of the productive system of the country will not be able to count on the benefit of zero charges representing about 25% of the total costs of the electricity bill. And this in the context of a scenario in which, for example, our surveys show how all categories of companies in the tertiary market sector suffered, in the last quarter, an average increase in the cost of electricity supplies including between 65% and over 70%. In comparison with November last year, the cost of the electricity bill has since reached increases sometimes even greater than 200%.

It is therefore necessary – concludes Confcommercio – a consequent corrective intervention of the current provisions of article 3 of the draft Budget Law for 2023.
