Mandy François-Elie is a para athlete, specializing in the 100 and 200m.

Mandy François-Elie suffered a stroke in 2008, at the age of 18, the day before her baccalaureate, and woke up hemiplegic and partially paralyzed on the right side of her body, even though just before the accident she held the Martinique record for able-bodied people in the 400m. The “miracle”, as her parents call her, was spotted by the French disabled sports team in the spring of 2012. The Frenchwoman subsequently became a triple Paralympic medalist. She won a medal of each metal in the 3 Paralympics in which she participated, London 2012 in gold, Rio 2016 in bronze and Tokyo 2020 in silver.
