The former national team volleyball player agreed to be the top skier’s “manazer” and the duo plans to confuse at least the social media field.

Rarely, if ever, does a piece of news about skiing go viral right before Midsummer. However, that’s what happened when Perttu Hyvärinen announced on his Instagram account that he has found himself a “manazer”. You can watch the video here. (you switch to another service)
The video, which humorously imitated a Finnish 1980’s press conference, revealed an interesting collaboration, as Hyvärinen had promised to become Manager in the spring after finishing his extensive volleyball career Olli-Pekka “Lelu” Ojansivu.
– It was love at first sight, Hyvärinen said about the duo’s first meeting.
– He (Ojansivu) is quite a charming guy, but he has such a sick sense of humor that you can’t help but fall in love with him.
Cupid’s arrow was a hockey player from Kuopio Teemu “Härski” Hartikainenbut it didn’t take much for the skier from North Savonia and the volleyball player from Savonia to find a common plot.
– I have been able to laugh at good things a lot. Let’s see what can be done. The goal is to confuse as much as possible in the field of social media and otherwise. You can’t expect terribly high-flying stuff from us, just basic armpit fart stuff, Hyvärinen warned.
Hit video with zero budget
Ojansivu, who visited the sports studio, signed Hyvärinen’s goal of confusing sports circles and threw his own spoon into the soup by sitting by the fire during his visit to the studio wearing only a fur coat and ankle boots. Ojansivu admitted that he is in Ruka for the first time to watch skiing live.
– However, skiing is an easy sport. Let’s move forward and whoever has the most time wins, Ojansivu estimates.
Ojansivu revealed that he doesn’t really care how Hyvärinen performs on the ski track, but naturally he hopes for the best possible result.
– I don’t put pressure on him. That pressure is hard enough when the season starts here in Ruka and Finns are there and watching the TV.
Lelu Ojansivu was known during her volleyball career as a splash of color on the courts, and her pace has not dimmed even after her competitive career. Ojansipu’s handprint can also be seen in the manazeri video, which is not really backed by any big advertising agency.
– Me, the cameraman Axel (Murja) and Perttu was playing with it. Everyone threw a little of their own ideas and then it turned out like this. The budget was 0 euros, so the result is good compared to that.
Can be interesting, although not the best
Ojansivu stated that he is “probably Europe’s f***” as a manager, but that he tries to bring certain things from the team sports side to the job, which he has done himself.
– However, you have to remember that sport is a show. It can be interesting, even if it’s not the best in the world, Ojansivu said.
– I was quite good at playing volleyball myself, but I was never the best or incredibly tough. I always got attention for being myself and I always liked to be a bit confusing.
According to Ojansivu, Hyvärinen is not afraid to perform and express her opinions. This side of Ojansivu wants to show more, but also Hyvärinen’s captivating personality.
– You can’t hate that person! If you don’t like him, then there is something wrong with you. He always manages to smile and that smile alone conquers. I’m probably the one who tells those armpit fart stories and Perttu laughs. It’s always really nice to see him.
