    The number of civilians killed after Israel’s latest attack on Rafah continues to rise. Now at least 45 people are said to have died.

    The UN Security Council will hold a crisis meeting on Tuesday regarding the situation in Rafah, AP reports.

    The meeting will be held behind closed doors and the initiative comes from Morocco, AP states.

    Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the attack a “tragic mistake” on Monday night.

  • Man dead after accident with quad bike

    A man in his 40s disappeared in Ljungby municipality on Monday evening.

    A large search operation with police patrols and a helicopter was launched. The man was later found dead.

    According to the police, it is an accident, but it is currently unclear how it happened. No crime is suspected.

    Relatives have been notified.

  • Fire in a mountain cabin in Storlien

    Rescue services have moved out to Storlien after a mountain cabin of around 100 square meters caught fire.

    The alarm came at 04:30.

    – The fire started in one of the gables and we are now trying to prevent it from spreading further into the house, says Mio Lönnegård, alarm and line operator at rescue region Mittnorrland.

    There is currently no information on personal injuries.

    The forecast is that the extinguishing work will last until 07:30, but that time may change.

    Russia has invited the Afghan Taliban regime to St. Petersburg’s annual economic forum.

    Zamir Kabulov, head of one of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Asian departments, tells the Russian state news agency Tass that there are several possible and promising areas of cooperation with the Taliban.

    Among other things, he mentions that the Afghans are interested in buying raw materials such as oil from Russia and that Afghanistan’s geographical location can be used as a transit to increase trade in the region.

    Whether the Taliban will actually accept is still unclear. They are banned in Russia and listed on the country’s list of terrorist organizations. But Kabulov says Russia’s foreign and defense ministries have now asked President Vladimir Putin to remove the Taliban from the terror list.

    The meeting takes place just over two months after Russia was rocked by a bloody terrorist attack that the Islamic terrorist group IS claimed to be behind.

    The Sweden Democrats pull away from the Moderates in the battle for who is the biggest among the Tidö parties.

    In Indikator opinions new measurement, made on behalf of Echothe SD gets 22.5 percent compared to the Moderates’ 18.3 percent.

    The man was awake and talking when he was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. The extent of the damage is unclear, the police say.
